This is a restored original Chevrolet 1956 2-DOOR BEL AIR HARDTOP & CONVERTIBLE left drivers door latch. This latch ONLY fits this specific 2 door Bel Air hardtop or convertible left door. Don't be fooled by most of these other sellers selling the standard reproduction tri-5 door latch and telling you it will work, cause it wont hook up to the outside door lock! This latch has been restored to like original condition. The latch has had all the springs removed and painted, the latch was glass beaded down to completely clean raw metal, painted bright silver, reassembled, fully lubed and tested. This latch is ready to install. These original latches are much stronger and made with thicker steel materials then the new foreign made reproduction latches.
NOTE!!
This latch only fits the following model:
1956 Bel Air 2 door Hardtop or Convertible,
This will NOT fit a Bel Air sedan, wagon or Nomad model.
