This is a new 1955 1956 Chevy car back up light wiring socket kit. This kit comes with the needed parts except the actual wire to add back up lights to your 55-56 Chevy car. Back up lights were an accessory option when these cars were new, so many cars did not have the wiring sockets or the mounting plates. This kit can be used with all aftermarket wiring kits as most kits do not come with these special size sockets, boots or mounting plates. Instructions included.
- I-5 Classic Chevy helpful tip: The sockets go in the taillight housings from the front side. The boot and socket get installed as one unit into the housing and the flat retainer plate goes over the top to hold them in. Most housings are not drilled for the mounting plate screws so the screws are NOT included. You will need to drill and tap your taillight housing to the size and thread of your choice. These use a standard 1156 light bulb.
