This is a full original type front sway bar mounting kit for a 5/8" or 3/4" original OEM front sway bar for a 55-57 Chevy Car. There is a debate on what size the original factory OEM sway bar was, some say 5/8 inch, some say 3/4 inch. This kit will fit either size sway bar. This kit comes with the factory type frame brackets, spacers and the very sought after original control arm brackets that will bolt right up to original lower control arms. You CAN use the control arm brackets and sway bar links for any size sway bar up to 1-1/8" inch. A lot of the new sway bar kits come with really cheesy or weak control arm brackets, this is the only way to buy the sought after control arm brackets. The manufacture will not sell them to anyone separately. If you are planning on using only the control arm brackets for a new larger sway bar, placement on the control arm is your responsibility because new sway bars can vary in dimensions from manufacture to manufacture. Modification of the brackets may be necessary.
